Part of my job is to run on-line software tutorials using Netmeeting. I often have to say things like “I’m clicking the right mouse button NOW.” It would be better if I could find a utility that would give a visual indication on the screen whenever a click or drag occurs — ideally a momentary image that appears around the mouse pointer, OR clearly identifiable sound effects associated with left-click, right-click, double-click, and drag.

Has anyone got a goodie I could use?

hello I like the idea although we might get tired of it if it sounded every time we clicked the mouse. The only things I have been able to find are programs or things like JAVA scripts that assign the sound to the item being clicked. Which are way beyond my expertise. I am really surprised MerC hasn’t got some little goodie. If I run across anything I’ll be back.

I don’t know if this is the solution for you, but CursorXP might do the job. You can assign events to the mouse clicks – vsiauls – along with goofy trails and crazy looking pointers. Quite neat, actually, but it only works on Win2000/XP. If I recall correctly, NetMeeting will reproduce what appears on your screen to other users.

See Milori Training tools at http://www.milori.com

Its ” Audisee” module has a way of making mouse clicks visible .. it is not free but there is 1 30 day trial version.
