    Reminders are always helpful.

I have a Virtual Disk with Windows XP Mode that I use for Quicken 98.  Will The Macrium Disk Image also back up the Virtual Disk or should that be done separately?  For example, Download Macrium to the Virtual Disk onto Windows XP mode and backup from there.

Different more complicated question.  If I have Windows 10 PRO on a different computer, would I be able to clone a legitimate copy of Windows XP to the virtual Hyper-V drive so I can use it for Quicken 98?

Depends on what you want to backup.
If it is just the Quicken data, export it off VM to your usual data location (Documents etc). Then make a copy of the VM disk file to your usual backup location (external USB disk etc).
Recovery of either Quicken data or the whole machine is then simple.

According to this Help Desk Geek article, you can move your virtual XP machine to W10.

Thanks – did not log in before posting question on Hyper-V/Windows XP.  Does that mean there would be two images – one of the main disk and one of the virtual?

You do not need to create an image of a VM, the VM disk (VDI) file is the image.

If you backup the host, it will also backup the VM because is collects the VDI file.

      cheers, Paul
