I am designing a brochure for a friend in another state. When I am done, I want to email and have him preview it. He DOES NOT have publisher. How can I make this happen?

You could convert the publication to a PDF file. There are many free utilities that let you convert anything that you can print to a PDF file, e.g. pdf 995 and CutePDF.
