I want to be able to create a watermark on the right hand edge of every page with the text in a vertical position. The watermark has to contain some text and the system date. Then I want a macro button to insert this into selected documents. Have tried various things but none seem to work properly. Have thought of using watermark but cannot get the text to be vertically aligned on the edge of the page. Can this be done?

Yes it can be done. I would use a text box (from the drawing toolbar) and rotate the text that way.

The trick to doing this is as a macro is making sure it applies across every page of the document.

This is not as easy as it sounds because of the multiple sections that may be in the file and the fact that one section could have up to three headers and subsequent sections might have same as previous etc.

Code to take care of those issues has been posted here before and you should be able to find it if you search for terms such as header watermark section
