Can anyone give more details on:

WOW’s 5 July 2001 Vol 6 No 31 claim that VBScript goes away?

“. VBScript goes away. (And not a moment too soon.) Web clients don’t have to be anything special – any browser will do. The Registry becomes obsolete. (Well, sorta.)”

We thought VBScript was staying but simply not stored in the HTML Page like it is now. If the above claim is true, can anyone point us to a URL that has further info?

    THANKS!

I do recall reading somewhere that ASP.Net doesn’t/won’t support VBScript if that’s of any use.

I’m not 100% certain, but ASP.NET supports any .NET language. C#, VB.NET, C++. You won’t need to write VBScript in ASP.NET, you can use VB.NET.
