    Helllo Everyone:

Can anyone share with me a small code for a word doc. that has a logo, with 3 lines of text centred. I am aware that I could use the header, however, I need the text and the logo to show, as the doc is emailed daily.

    Thanks

      – Why do you need code?
      – What exactly would you like the code to do?

        Hello Hans:

I have placed the logo, and text manually; today I used the bookmark and ref fields, to insert both the logo and text.

I email this document as is, so I do not want the recipient, to alter the logo in any fashion. To answer your question, I just do not want anyone to edit the logo or text.
        Thanks

It’s still not clear to me what you want code for. If you don’t want the recipients to be able to edit the document, protect it for forms with a password. The recipients will be able to view and print the document only.

Or you can convert the document to a PDF file – there are lots of threads about cheap/free PDF converters in the Lounge, especially in the Software Finds and Wants forum.

            Hello Hans:

Thanks for you quick replies, however, note that not everyone has a system where they can read
PDF’s. As for Forms, this is just a standard letter. I will use Ref fields.

            Thanks

The Adobe Reader is free (Adobe Reader – Download)

Even if a document is not a form, you can still protect it for forms to disable editing.

              Hello Hans:

Again, thanks a lot for your support, I do have Acrobat 6.0. However, not everyone uses Acrobat, I have decided to protect the document using forms, however, the “Protection for form” affects the entire doc.

So I will try and see, if this could be done just for the image area only.

              Much appreciated

My apparently mistaken impression was that you wanted the entire document to be read-only. If you only want to protect part of the document, divide it into sections by inserting section breaks. In the Tools | Protect Document dialog, you can specify which sections are to be protected. It is true that if you protect a document for forms, some features are disabled in unprotected sections.

      > I need the text and the logo to show, as the doc is emailed daily

All of the above suggestions relate to sending the Word document as an attachment. If you are using the File>Send To>Mail Recipient feature of MS Word, you usually end up with an HTML-format message containing your document content. As far as I know, there is no feature that protects the text in an HTML message from changes. You could convert your entire text-and-logo into a graphic so that Word embeds it in the message as a single unit…

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
