When coding in VBA (Access) i have been experiencing some strange behaviour.

The autocomplete feature flashes up only briefly before disappearing and the cursor moves erratically, frequently moving as thought I’ve hit backspace, with the result that I keep keep typing long strings of words with no spaces.

    Have anyone else seen this?

This is only happening in the VBA environment of Access and then, not all the time.

Do you have a form open in the database that has an On Timer event procedure? If so, each time the event fires, the Visual Basic Editor loses focus for a fraction of a second, making it think you finished typing.

Actually I have two. I’ve just checked and this behaviour only happens if either (or both) is open in form view.

Thankyou, this was driving me nuts dizzy and the timer being the culpret would never had occured to me as a possible cause. doh

Thought I had a gremlin in my machine.
        bravo
