Do you really need the reference to utility.mda? What happens if you remove the reference?

I get an error message about the missing reference. After I close the message, the application loads normally. Then, when I attempt to add “on the fly” a new entry for a combo box, I get an error in the VBA window. All of this has worked for years, so I suppose that the utility.mda is necessary.

The prior note was with the reference marked as “missing” When I remove the check mark requiring the reference, the application seems to work OK!!! Your thoughts?

In general, Access applications don’t need a reference to Utility.mda. So I’d leave the reference to Utility.mda unchecked. To make sure, select Debug | Compile to see if the code compiles correctly.

If Debug | Compile didn’t result in an error message, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about (in this respect).
