I’m curious about using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool.ย  I know it must “fetch” files from Microsoft when you use it to build an installation on….say….a USB flash drive.

But, my question is:ย  Assume Windows 10 1909. If I made a 1909 installation on a USB flash today would it be the same as using one from a couple of weeks ago.

In other words are any patches included on the newest 1909 that I made today ?

    Thanks,

    Mike

We don’t know what MS include and I’ve not seen anyone here talking about comparing versions.
The only time you would want the latest patches is for offline installation, but it would be out of date in a month anyway, so you haven’t gained much.

      cheers, Paul

I made a new one and compared the total size with one that was about 2 weeks old.ย  Here what I got:

      4,288,978,944,ย  Date: 1/27/2020

      4,309,909,504,ย  Date: 2/16/2020

It appears updates ARE added to the most recent ISO then?

Can always install OFFLINE then get updates selectively?
