I say part 1, because GMail (since they leave the *Beta tag on there) isn’t finished, so I expect more problems.

I have no problem receiving messages with GMail’s pop server, nor do I have a problem connecting to the smtp server. My send/receive fails whenever I try to send a message though… Has anyone here been successful in their setup? I’d overcome this problem on my desktop by changing the smtp server from port 465 (GMail advised) to 587 (dumb luck). However, with my laptop, , no such luck…

Could your firewall be blocking that port?
