I recently set up a new machine for my parents and it came preloaded with WinME. I took advantage of the Accessibility options to enlarge font sizes and enhance screen visibility to make the machine usable for my mother following a recent stroke that left her vision impaired.
One other side effect of her stroke is that excessively bright or moving images distract her to the point of confusion. Now we come to the issue at hand — the “enhanced” Windows media player that comes with Win ME is defaults to a color scheme and pattern that is much too vivid, with moving color patterns for my mom to use comfortably. She never had any trouble with the plain vanilla media player in Win95. Is there a way to use the old media player with Win ME? What files would I need to move to the new system? Alternatively, does the ME player support “skins” that would allow me to make the new player look just like the old player? (Part of my problem is that my parents are 1800 miles away so I can’t experiment on their system and don’t have an ME system handy near me).
Thanks
