I have a Sweex Mo070UK usb fax/modem which I am trying to set up for Windows 7.

It is recognised in Control Panel as ‘USB SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with smartCP’ and I can use it as a modem/dialler.

When I try and set it up as a fax I get as far as ‘Connect to fax modem’ then it just sits there and eventually comes up ‘There has been an error’ and gives up.

    Anyone got any bright ideas?

System requirements specify Windows 98, XP, & 2000.

There is a driver download for Vista that may work for Windows 7

You do have a non digital phone line hooked up to the modem I assume?

Jerry has a point there you need to have your fax machine connected to your telephone line to use as a fax. Maybe the instruction manual will tell where to connect the telephone cable. (Not a LAN cable)
