Today I am on fire fighting duties and this little beauty has landed on my desk:
Hopefully with the vast wealth of knowledge in the lounge someone will have seen this before. (fingers, toes and other appendages crossed):-
Word document comes up with “File may be corrupt” dialog.
(I attach sample copy of one page containing only two lines of text).
I follow the instructions and copy all to new file.
Still corrupt.
Pages 1 through 6 are copied as a sample to new document.
Still corrupt.
All but two lines are deleted from document.
Still corrupt
The end result is that it is impossible to apply style numbering to the required lines. Note also (in attached doc) that selecting numbered bullets AND symbol bullets is possible at the same time.
From lounge archives I have followed advice to “drill down” the styles to apply the numbering but to no avail. When applying numbering to the Style as per FormatStyleModifyNumbering the resultant text in the style dialog indicates “no numbering” instead of “outline numbering”
