Does anyone know if it’s possible to upload an excel file (in whatever format) into Microsoft Money’s checkbook/account registry?

I do not know of any way to import an Excel file into Money. Excel can export to quite a few formats but none of these are the same as the handful of formats that Money can import.

I use Money 2004 and there does not appear to be a way to import an Excel file. According to the import facility it is limited to the files as shown in the attachment. My financial institution (Royal Bank of Canada) allows the exporting of their (my) data directly into Money via the Internet. Perhaps your financial institution has a similar feature? I know this doesn’t help create an historical file, but does work on a go-forward basis.

      Cheers,

      Bob
