In determining what’s involved in upgrading from ME to XP, I ran the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor. The Upgrade Report, however, has what seems to me to be contradictory results. One part reads “Setup will automatically back up your existing version of Windows. You can restore your computer safely even if these upgrade problems remain.” However, later the Report reads, “During the upgrade to Windows XP, Setup removes Windows Millennium Edition from your compputer, including any backups you might have on your hard disk.”
Huh? “back up existing version”? “removes Windows Millennium Edition”?
