We will be taking the site offline for about 5-10 minutes to upgrade the server that handles the web site.  Google bots and AI have been hitting the site with more traffic and we’re upping the CPU to handle the load.

I’m just checking with Will and the rest to make sure this is as good of time as any to be offline for just a few.

Looks like it’s relatively quiet right now. We will be back in a few.

Seems a little slow at the moment. Taking more than the usual time to refresh.

      cheers, Paul

          Web server response is slow.

~20 minutes after the latest newsletter topics loaded and it feels sporadic, blazing fast to pretty slow so probably ‘fixed’ but a busy period to test in.

Still seems to be a bit sporadic.

Sometimes a link opens immediately, other times there’s a very noticeable delay.

And no, it doesn’t appear to be related to how long the thread is (i.e. the same link sometimes opens immediately but, just a few mins later, takes a while.)

NOTE: after a very long delay (+2 mins) I got a Unable to update database error first time I tried to reply to this thread.
