My computer tells me I can upgrade to Windows11. Upgrade assistant tells me insufficient disk space. What do I do?

If you upgrade now, you will get Win11 24H2. Susan does NOT recommend upgrading to that version yet. So stay on Win10 for now.

To prepare for an eventual upgrade (you have until October or November), you need to several things.
+ You should make a full disk image of your computer. Macruim Reflect, EaseUS Todo Backup, Terabyte Image for Windows, and Aomei Backupper are a few of the choices. Ask questions here and see our Backup Forum for more information.
+ You need to clear enough space on your hard drive to accommodate the upgrade. That will entail deleting things you don’t need and copying to an external storage the things you want to keep. That depends on the size of your hard drive and the current amount of free space available.
+ You need to update the drivers for your hardware to the latest versions. Video driver, sound, Network, etc, to be sure they are compatible with Win11.

To give you a more precise answer, we will need more information about your system:
Make & model, age, size of your HDD, Ram, Processor, viedo, etc
