I was upgraded by MIS today from Office 97 to Office XP. I have a journal entry template I have been using successfully for several years under XL97. Now with XP the Page Setup Scaling option “Fit To” 1 page tall by 1 page wide isn’t scaling small enough and the bottom rows and right column of the print area are not printing.

If I manually adjust the scaling down a few percent, it prints just fine. I could just set the scaling in the template manually, but I often have the need to add two or more rows, and that makes using the “Fit To” scaling option more desirable. Besides, is it asking too much of Microsoft that this feature actually work?

I searched the MS knowledge base and the lounge about this but came up empty. Has anyone heard of this problem? I welcome your suggestions.

Check to see if you have the current printer driver. That problem is usually due to the driver.

        Folluwup:
I emailed a copy of the troublesome template to MIS who checked it on his machine using the same printer driver as I had and he did not have a problem printing. Then, later I came across a prior version of the template I had saved, so I tested it…it printed fine. Then I updated the old version with the changed code in the newer troublesome version. Problem solved. Seems there was a corruption in my template that didn’t show up under 97 that did show up under XP.
