Updates won’t install

Windows updates download fine but error out on install.  I’ve run the system file checker and the scan reg, but still get the error.

What to do next?

In addition to what Susan is asking (exactly which update or updates are not installing), exactly which error message(s) and/or error code(s) are you getting when you’re trying to install the Windows updates?

Answering her question and either one (or both) of these will go a LONG way towards helping you out of this predicament.
