Units of Measure (2000)

How do you change the default unit of measure in PowerPoint? Also what controls all default settings? Word has normal.dot, Excel has book.xls in the xlstart folder, but what controls PowerPoint?

I use Windows 2000 and this is how I solved the problem for me.
Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel and then to Regional Options
Go to the numbers tab and under measurement change the setting from Metric to US.
