Uninstalr 2.8 released. Uninstalr is a freeware Windows software uninstaller that supports uninstalling software in batch and it has one of the best support for silent (unattended) uninstallation.

Key changes in this version are:

1. New feature: Users can now choose to skip some analysis types, for example portable apps.
2. New feature: Uninstalr will now generate a log file after any uninstallation operation.
3. Greatly improved the speed and accuracy of detecting installed software. On average, the program now works 23% faster.

Uninstalr comes in two different but equally delicious flavors: Portable and Setup. The Portable version is a single executable file you can run and then delete when you are done, or run it from a USB device and carry it with you.

The software is very lightweight of only about 6 MB in size and comes with 29 builtin languages, it supports Dark Mode and has a wide array of options to allow you to run it the way you want.

I’ve found both Uninstalr and WinFindr very useful… so, thank you. I note that WinFindr includes a feedback link pointing to a forum… but Uninstalr doesn’t have the same.

Perhaps make it easier to feedback… and differentiate between website and app?

For example, something like feedback@uninstalr.com instead of hello@greatsoftwarecompany.com … which I finally found after a great deal of searching on the uninstalr.com website.

IMO an actual Contact link on the website and within the app would be helpful.

I agree, thank you very much! This is exactly the kind of “cannot see the forest from the trees” things that one often fails to notice oneself.

Thank you for letting me know. I don’t understand what is going on with Microsoft. We already got a green light from them earlier, saying that they will whitelist us, but now it seems like we are back to square one.

It’s obviously a false positive by Microsoft and it’s really annoying. I wish they would fix up their mess. I have sent them a new message again.

As a postscript, I alerted JV via email to a really minor typo on the Uninstalr website… which was corrected immediately.
