Does anyone remember the command line switch to uncompile a database? I can’t seem to remember it, or else I’m incorrectly trying to use it.

      /Decompile

      such as:
      “C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeMSACCESS.EXE” “C:My DocumentsDatabase1.MDB” /DECOMPILE

Also, for frequent decompiling check out this post.

        >>/Decompile<<

Well, that would pretty much explain why /uncompile wouldn't work! One of those things I use so seldom, that I forget the details.

What is really strange is that I couldn’t find this switch mentioned in Developer’s Handbook (not even under “decompile”).

        Thanks.

You can find it in the knowledgebase — ACC97: How to Repair a Damaged Jet 3.5 Database [Q279334]. That also contains links to the articles for Jet 3.0 and Jet 4.0 articles.

It’s amazing how much information you can find when you enter the right keyword! “Uncompile” produced nothing in MSKB (which is why I posted my message here), while “Decompile” produced a bunch of articles, including the one you mentioned. And I would have bet money the term was “Uncompile”!
