My daughter’s college apparently gave her MS Home & Office 2016, which she installed in her laptop (2.39 GB, acc. to Iobit). I later shared with her one of my 5 licences for Office 365 so that she could have the 1GB cloud storage (889.2 MB). They both show up as installed. Can I delete the Home & Office without messing up the 365 (just to free up space)? If so, can I do a standard uninstall (Iobit), or is there a step-by-step somewhere that I need to follow? TIA

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody PlusOctober 10, 2019 at 9:25 am #1978326Not sure; hope you find the answer. Also, not sure if you could legally share 365 ProPlus with her. I see 2016 Professional Plus adds Outlook, Publisher, Access, & Skype for Business. Does she need Publisher & Access? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office_2016#Traditional_editions
Bought a refurbished Windows 10 64-bit, currently updated to 22H2. Have broke the AC adapter cord going to the 8.1 machine, but before that, coaxed it into charging. Need to buy new adapter if wish to continue using it.

Office 365 Home includes those: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_365#Plans

AskWoody MVPOctober 10, 2019 at 9:40 am #1978341You can share one of your Office 365 installs with her. You should be able to just uninstall Home & Office 2016 without effect. Just to be safe, I’d make sure there is an image backup of the system before the uninstall. That way you can always get back to a known point when all was working.
BTW, I’d use the standard Control Panel uninstall.
