I ran into a similar problem as described in post 423941 — Word does not respect the Keep With Next, etc settings within a table. That message was for Word 2000 and I am using Word 2003. Has anything changed, or is it still a manual process to ensure proper page breaks in a table.

Also, is there a way (similar to Excel) to repeat the column headings on multiple pages? I have resorted to copy-n-pasting the first row of my table into multiple locations to handle the multiple pages.

Have either of these items been changed in Word 2007?

      1) ‘Keep with next’ works in a table as far as I know, but you have to be careful – if you apply it throughout a table, Word might ignore it because it is impossible to keep the entire table on one page. So apply it judiciously.

      2) Select the row(s) you want to repeat.
Select Table | Heading Rows Repeat.
(This feature has been in Word at least since Word 97, probably earlier)

I don’t have Word 2007, so I don’t know whether these features have changed.

Aha! I *had* applied Keep With Next to the whole table. Now I understand!

        Thanks very much.
