I’m using Bulk Crap Uninstaller ver. 4.16 x64.

    It shows (slightly abbreviated):

    1. Intel(R) Graphics Driver Software | Intel | 3.11.1.0 | 2020.06.02 | 1.89 GB | HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{d2843be8-a475-45ad-a151-dc20a9696584} | “C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{d2843be8-a475-45ad-a151-dc20a9696584}\igfx_win10_100.8280.exe”

    and

    2. Intel(R) Graphics Driver Software | Intel | 3.11.1.0 | 2020.07.29 | 1.93 GB | HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{8a13c1a0-15ca-4939-92ea-9a745169ba28} | “C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{8a13c1a0-15ca-4939-92ea-9a745169ba28}\igfx_win10_100.8476.exe”

Question: Do I need both? And if so, in simple terms, why? They’re both huge files and I’m running out of space on a 117 GB SSD.

    I’m running Windows 10 Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362 with Intel(R) HD Graphics 630.

    Thanks for any help.

Is your programs and features showing both intel drivers/software in control panel?
Using third party uninstallers can create lots of undesired issues IMO

Windows - commercial by definition and now function...

Have a look in Device Manager > Display adapters.  Do you see two entries?

Looks like different versions of the same thing but I agree in discouraging the use of so called registry cleaners.  Bleachbit is good to free up space.  Eventually if you end up doing this all the time best to get a larger capacity drive imo.  Or if your machine can handle a second drive get a big mechanical one.

I use TreeSize free to list / delete large files when I’m short on space.

No.  Delete 8280.  Current version should be 8476, your second entry.

The Driver Store File Repository keeps at least one older version of most drivers in case an install goes bad or whatever.  They can be deleted from there but don’t unless you can definitely determine which is which; it can be cryptic.

      C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository

A great utility, been around for ages and is very simple, for finding old, redundant, duplicate drivers is Driver Store Explorer, clean link:

      https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/driverstoreexplorer.html

Alternatively, extraneous drivers can be found and removed with an Elevated Command Prompt. Search: pnputil for MS’s instructions on how to use it.  I wouldn’t unless you like Command Prompts and understand which driver is which.

Driver Store Explorer is much easier to understand; you may find many old versions hanging around taking up space.  If you really aren’t sure what a particular driver is, better to keep one old version just in case.  For those you recognize and can download, backups aren’t necessary, keep the most recent only.

BTW, BCUninstaller is an excellent utility.  I’ve used it and Driver Store Explorer for years.

Thanks very much, anonymous. Very useful post.

I think I will look into moving my Windows installation to another drive.

Don’t know if this applies but Intel Graphics Control Panel recently has been replaced by Intel Graphics Command Center.  IG CC came as an update but I can’t remember if it came from HP or Microsoft.

I uninstalled the IG Control Panel but some keep both because IG Command Center is missing at least one setting that IG Control Panel had.
