I have a windows 10 desktop that has both a wired and wireless connection, Local Area Connection 2 and Wireless Connection 2. I am trying to use the wired connection, Local Area Connection 2, so if I disable the wireless connection it disables both connections, I’m suspecting that the “Connection 2” is the problem but I do not know how to rename them so one is “Connection 1” and the other is “Connection 2”.
When I go to the Network Connections window, press ALT, then press Advanced Settings it shows: Network Providers and under that “Microsoft Windows Network”, “Microsoft Remote Desktop Session Host Server Network Provider” and “Web Client Network”, most help boards list different entries that should be there.
I think there should be a simple way to correct my problem but I can’t seem to find it. Some help would surely be appreciated.
