Trying to Attach an Open Document

It seems that Windows Live Mail will not let me attach a document that is open. This is extremely inconvenient since I am often talking with people on the phone and sending them documents we are actively working on as we progress. Having to keep closing and reopening the documents is a hassle and was not necessary in OE (still doesn’t seem to be required in Outlook, but that’s not the program I use at work).

Has anyone discovered a workaround for this incovenient new feature? I have done some searching online, which seems to indicate that others are as annoyed as I am about the change, but I have not found any suggested solutions.

And, by the way, is there any way to send suggestions to Microsoft?

You could try doing this from the other application. For example in word you can use File > Send to > Mail Recipient as Attachment

Thanks. That’s a good idea. I’ll make sure my work account is the default account (it isn’t right now, but easy enough to change that).
