    I recently booted NAV2003 and went to Trend Micro PC-Cillin. On the email scan however, I get the message below. I have an SBC PPOE DSL modem and I think it has something to do with the ethernet card. I have disabled ZoneAlarm mail safe and I did not install the personal firewall that came with the download. I have sent an email to Trend, but was wondering if anyone here might have some ideas on how to fix it. I would almost think it is as simple as changing a port setting somewhere, but I am lost as to where that might be. I am using W98SE and OE6.

      Your error message has a printer icon! How did you do that?

      Anyway, is it possible that some other process is intercepting mail requests, such as a spam filter proxy (e.g., SAProxy)?

      I’m sure there’s a way to sniff out what is on that port using telnet, but I can’t remember how to do it. sad

      In the PC-cillin 2003 directory, there is a file PC-CILLIN.INI in which you may have to add the following code. I did, in order to get it to work. I found the fix somewhere on their web site in the FAQs:

      [POP3]
      ListenPort=110
      ConnectPort=110

        Thanks guys, it seems to work when I manually launch the POPtrap…that is sorta spooky! I used Hardcopy to screen capture the message, and it puts a printer icon there. Click the icon and it sends it to the printer.

        Thanks for the help!
