Is there a way to trap Dr. Watson Errors from within Acc97?

I have four NT4 machines that run the same application. MSWord (Office97) is opened and closed programmatically. Only on one machine is the Dr. Watson error generated when word is closed. (WinWord.exe)

The machine has been reformatted and reloaded twice. Acknowledging the Dr. Watson error closes the error message box and the code in the application continues.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Dr Watson errors come from the operating system, so no, you can’t trap them in Access, particularly when the application generating them is something else entirely. What’s the connection to Access here, anyhow? confused

Bummer. I had hoped there was a way.

MSWord (Office97) is opened and closed programmatically from within Access 97.

Even examining the Dr Watson log doesn’t always make it clear where the error came from, let along what it is. Are you sure it’s Word that is causing the error?

Am I sure…no. The message box that pops up indicates the trouble is with words execute file.
