• Transferimport old files (OE 5 /98 SE)

I recently suffered motherboard failure and distinctly strange noises from HDD. The outcome was that a new system was purchased and old HDD (for now) is installed as a second HDD to the new system.
The new system has OE5 and the old system had OE4.
Is there any way I can transfer the old OE folders to my OE5 installation. In the help it refers to transfer of .ibx (?) files and deletion of nch(?) file but I don’t seem to be able to find these on the old HDD. All I can find are Folder1.idx, Folder2.idx etcetera (sorry if the extensions seem slightly wrong but I’m posting this from last nights apres-midnight memory, and the candle was burning low at the time)

    TIA

See if anything at Tomsterdam helps – I think it’s the .dbx files that hold the data…

        Thanks Leif.
The site was a great help and resolved the query.
