    Hi,

One of our guys needs desperately to transfer hundreds of Contacts from his Palm Desktop software to his Microsoft Outlook Contacts.

Any recommendations on the easiest way to go about this?

I found a cool way of exporting the Palm Contact as a VCARD (see scrn. shot), but problem is you have to do them one at a time! If you have hundreds, you’ll go nuts. So is there a snazzy way to do them all in 1 go?

    Thanks,

    m.q.

In the Palm software, there is an Export feature. Export the Address file as “comma separated” and then import that into Outlook. The version of Palm Desktop I have (3.01) has a rather outmoded, Win3.x-style interface so if you’re not used to the way that works, read the Palm help files.

Can he use the Sync options in the Palm Desktop? (Backup first!)

Wow, initially I thought the CSV option worked.
Infact it hadn’t. We lost quite a lot of data.

We had stuff in the NOTES section of the Palm that didn’t appear in the VCF file of the PocketPC.

As I showed in the initial screen shot you can export the Palm Contact as a VCF File; but I just need a smooth way to do hundreds instead of them 1 by 1.

        Any clues people?
