I’ve just bought a Win 8 computer and want to copy the files and settings from my Win 7 machine. If memory serves, Win 7 had a utility for copying files from the old to the new. There doesn’t appear to be any such utility with my new Win 8 machine. Both machines have Office Home and Business installed and I’d like to copy the Outlook PST files over.
Is there a utility available to do this job?
If not, my Win 7 machine does a full backup onto an external drive. Could I plug that drive into the Win 8 machine and do a restore?
