How do I transfer AutoText entries between Word templates, either manually or through code?

Hi Stephen:

1. Open any document & go to Tools/Templates & Add-ins & click on Organizer.
2. A document & it’s attached template will be shown. Click the close button on the document & browse for the template you want.
3. You can do the same with the other template that’s open.
4. Click the Autotext tab & you can then copy all or some of them between the templates.

Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed to do. Wow, it’s shocking how much Word functionality I don’t know (after years of working with it and programming in it).

For general-use AutoText, look into global templates. See: Template Basics (http://www.addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm) for more on templates (user and workgroup), global templates and Normal.dot.
