Does anyone know why the track changes functionality
doesn’t work on single words, when these are in table
    cells ?

Track changes works just fine on text typed in a normal
page. But as soon as the text becomes part of a table,
Track changes can only look at the entire cell not each
    single word.

Need I say this is rather frustrating ??

Explanations, ideas or tips will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    ;o) Henrik

According to Q209584 you can work around this by using the Reviewing toolbar, but I’ve never found this particularly successful either!

Oddly enough, it apparently affects the Knowledge Base. They must have reviewed Q221852 & Q246486 while they were in table cells, as they didn’t catch the duplication. grin

        Thanks Stuart,

I tried the tip, but it doesn’t work either.
If I have three cells next to each other it takes an entire row at a time.
Worse, if the table contains cells merged in various patterns the “per row approach” makes this tool completely useless.

        Any other hints ??

        Thanks,
        Henrik, shrug
