    Touch pad stopped working

    Toshiba Satellite P205-S6347
    2 GB Memory
    200 GB HD
    Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit)

    I have run Toshiba PC Diagnostic Tool, no help

    FN key not working

    Any clue appreciated

      Any chance the drivers have been corrupted. Toshiba should have drivers available in their support site. I would try this first.

        Thanks for the quick response. Downloaded current driver v13.2.1.0 and installed. No change, still not responding.

            Thanks for the lead.
            I installed a Toshiba utility value added pack and the touchpad is now working!!!

            All appears to be well.

      How old is the laptop? It is possible your keyboard has a defect. It might be worth a visit to a competent tech. Laptop keyboards are definitely not as easy to fix as desktop PCes. Sorry!

      Glad I could help. Drivers and utilities are often the easiest thing to try, and often do work.
