I am installing SpyBot S&D. I notice that it is installing AV as well. I already have BitDefender installed. Should I leave both alone? Do they “talk” to each other? Or should I disable one, and if so, which do you think?

    Regards,

Certainly you should only have one AV installed otherwise conflicts are likely. I’m surprised the second one installed without warning there was already AV installed (unless it automatically disabled it).

Personal choice will dictate which you keep. You could get a hundred responses here all with a different view on which is best and why !

This is only my personal opion and I am sure there are others that will beg to differ but given the amount of anti-malware programs that are available I wouldnt have Spybot S&D. I most certainly wouldnt un-install BitDefender in preference to it.

I use and love Spybot S&D….the old version that is. I do not like the new version. Uninstall Spybot S&D using Revo uninstaller. Then download Spybot S&D 1.6.2 from filehippo.
