Hello,
I am creating a master table of contents in a document. Within that master table contents, there is a link for a chapter that has its own mini-table of contents. That mini-table of contents is based not on table-entry fields, but rather, on styles (heading 1 = TOC level 1, etc.).
The problem is that when I press F9 to update this latter TOC, I am getting all of the headings from other parts of the document in there as well. I want to keep those out.
I know how to solve this problem using table entry fields. You just designate each entry with a letter and when you insert the TOC, you can indicate that you want the TOC to correspond with the appropriate letter.
But how do I get around this problem using styles? Can I get around it?
Sincerely,
JMT
