    After bootup this morning around 6:30, my system clock was set at midnight. If the automatic AtomTime resync hadn’t had a connection problem I wouldn’t have noticed. Anyone else encounter this?

      Windows XP has built-in time settings capability and you don’t need third-party programs as AtomTime anymore. Go to Control Panel, double-click Date/Time and click Internet Settings tab.
