Why does the Time (as showen in the task bar) not stay correct? It only take a few weeks and it can be off by more than 30 mins. ??
Thank you

There are a few possible causes for this happening.
On every PC that I maintain or own with a net connection, I prefer to use a small, unobtrusive program called AboutTime. I’ve been using it for several years and never ever had a problem with it. It’s small, efficient, and configurable. It may be worth looking into.
I’m not picking on you – I’m picking on Windows ME – but of course you have to reboot from time to time!
In all seriousness, that makes it sound like the RTC in your system is slowly losing time. Windows grabs the time from the BIOS at startup, and then uses its own internal algorithm to maintain it, which is far more accurate. But one reboot, and pow! You’re sliding into the past.
It may not be a bad idea to replace the CMOS battery if you feel froggy. I don’t know how old the system itself is and the batteries usually last for quite some time, but you just never know.
All the best,
