I want to install Thunderbird on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I downloaded the program and initiated the install process. The extraction process completed and then … nothing! No msiexec process was running, no Thunderbird process was running. It was as if I had done nothing at all. I tried performing the install with my antivirus disabled and disconnected from my home network. Again, nothing.
I was able to install the program just fine on my wife’s Win 7 64-bit laptop, so there is something about my laptop the program doesn’t like. We are both administrators on our own machines. Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
