Thunderbird profiles in Dropbox

I have;
Notebook xp
Laptop windows 7
PC xp

I use Thunderbird as an email client on all of them.

Do you think, for all above machines if I heave one Profile in Dropbox they will sync themselves?

Dropbox will sync the files, but the profile data and possibly the meta data is stored elsewhere. This probably means manually re-indexing the mailbox after a Dropbox sync. Personally I would set the profile to leave the messages on the server for 1 month and then both clients will sync up to 1 months data.

I usually use a portable version of Thunderbird and it works great. You could keep one of those in the dropbox and use it on any machine with the same dropbox. Even a complete suite of Portableapps.
