Mozilla’s developers has released Thunderbird 60.5.2 e-mail client on February 25, 2019. But this maintenance update comes with nasty bugs. Unter Windows, sending mails with attachments via mailto from 3rd party apps won’t work anymore, after auto-updating the client to version 60.5.2. The root cause is, that auto-update fails to exchange altered MAPI libraries. I’ve addressed this issue within the blog post: Thunderbird 60.5.2 causes a MAPI error – a workaround.
Now I received reports from German blog readers, that Thunderbird 60.5.2 has been pulled. Although this version is still downloadable from Mozilla’s ftp server and download site, the update has been removed. If someone installs Thunderbird 60.5.0 over Thunderbird 60.5.1, auto-update won’t find Thunderbird 60.5.2 anymore. Details may be found within my Thunderbird 60.5.2 pulled (March 5, 2019)
