I was working on my web in Front Page 2k when the banners seemed to have disappeared from all the pages. I go to themes and click apply they do not reappear. I right click on the buttons below where the banner was and shared borders shows a blue rectangle for the page banner. I’ve tried insert using the theme gif but then MSPhoto Draw wants to edit it instead of the way it used to be, you can double click it and give it its name. I can’t figure out if I did it or it’s just MS..again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ralph

      Are you using shared borders?

Yes, I’m using shared borders on top and right. When I go to the navigation view it shows all the pages and links, with the page names on the link box. That name used to appear as the title banner. When I right click on the top buttons and go the the and go to shared borders there is a blue rectangle indicating that a banner should appear. I’m really stumped as to why all the banners have disappeared.
Maybe I should remove the theme, apply a new theme and then go back to the original.>>>?

          2 points.
The page banner is an active component you can insert. (I can’t tell you the menu, ’cause right now I’m sitting at an FP98 machine). You could try reinserting the banner component into your shared border.
The shared border is exactly that – shared. If you edit one page, you edit them all.

I had somewhat similar problems when I moved my FP2000 pages to a new computer–the banners, borders, and theme background had disappeared, and attempting to recreate them led to nothing. After some time-consuming digging, I found that the hidden files were not being shown. I hadn’t yet changed the setting to “show all hidden files.” Once I did that, everything, much to my relief, was back.
