I have the handy, dandy automatic update activated on my p.c. because I simply don’t have the time to wade through all the security stuff I get get at work and home. Every time I turn the p.c. on (about once a day), it tells me that there are critical updates to XP and IE6 so I dutifully download and install them. I happened to mention this at work and the horrified sysadmin told me that I shouldn’t have to critically update so much and that something must be wrong. I’d like to think that there are, indeed critical updates, but really, every day?
