AskWoody_MVPMarch 13, 2019 at 6:18 pm #341375in the insider rings you are right there are no deferals else these presented for Home.
Applies to 19H1 slow / fast and 20H1.
I cannot get the adv. options to display. This might be limited to Insider. I have not yet seen a copy for non insider ISO BUT the new build b18356.1 has no watermark – so probably a semi-final – wohoo! -

AskWoody LoungerMarch 13, 2019 at 7:54 pm #341395Can I just say how ridiculous I continue to find it that we’re supposed to get excited about having even the illusion of control over when updates are installed? I am constantly amazed at functionality that in Windows 10 that isn’t even at parity with stuff found in Windows 95 is hyped by Microsoft.

AskWoody PlusMarch 13, 2019 at 8:46 pm #341406Am I missing something here? The second screenshot for Home still shows “Pause updates for 7 days”. How does that tie in to “Win10 Home users will be able to Pause updates for 35 days.”? The first screenshot shows 35 days but that is Pro according to the report.

AskWoody PlusMarch 14, 2019 at 2:23 am #341466Why do I keep getting this feeling that a rope that was innocently lying on the ground back when GWX started, has, in maginally tolerable steps, been slowly moved closer and closer and is now beginning to chafe around my neck?

ManagerMarch 14, 2019 at 7:04 am #341519They have to – and in the current beta builds, they are different. Primary reason: There’s no “Current Branch for Business” or “SAC- no T” branch. So you can’t set a branch, and the “feature update” (version change) deferral must be based on the number of days since the new version was released – not since it was declared “suitable for business.”

AskWoody_MVPMarch 14, 2019 at 1:33 pm #341652It’s probably not an issue for most of us. Those Channels got new names every time Nadella changed his underwear, so they were not very useful at best. Now at least it will be clear there is only one way to defer Feature Updates, and that is by setting a Number of Days. Much less confusing.
