When I am viewing web pages with rather small text (like the example shown in the attachment) I know I can increase the text size using the “View” tab but when I leave the web site and open another again with rather small text I have to repeat the process of enlarging it. Is there a way to determine the text size best suited to my vision so it becomes the default each time I log on? Thanks Dave.

Short of overriding the page author’s design, I don’t think there is an easy answer. If the page has been deliberately written with an uncomfortably small font, I would complain!

Can you check if you get the same small fonts showing if you view the same page in IE? I know of some sites that look fine in IE, but in Firefox the font sizes are all over the place – even mid sentence they can change.

(Don’t forget you can alter the font size by using your mouse wheel while holding down Ctrl.)

You probably need an add-on. Check out this one as an example; I haven’t used it myself, but I have seen it mentioned often in the context of setting a global default zoom level: NoSquint @ Add-ons for Firefox.

Thanks gents, I have taken note of the comments re: Ctrl + Mouse wheel & Firefox add on and will make use of both suggestions. Come to think about it I recall reading about the mouse wheel tip ages ago but had clean forgotten about it. Thanks Dave.
