I have the following in a Text Box control named DatabaseStatusDescription

    =IIf([CurrentDb].[Properties](“AllowBypassKey”).[Value]=-1,”Development”,”Production”)

    and it is returning #Name?

This same code works fine in a2k thru a2k3

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, John

I would suggest you do this on the OnLoad Event iof the form so you can step through the code and see where the error is. Referencing VB objects in control is a risky approach and very difficult to troubleshoot – and I think some of the properties of the CurrentDB object have changed in 2007 – for one thing there are many more.
