Hi
For some reason my taskbar has suddenly disappeared, I have gone into control manager but clicking on the taskbar icon does not do anything, any ideas please?
Thanks

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I assume that you have checked that you haven’t accidentally set it to 0 height or to auto-hide (see screenshot).
Check out My Taskbar is missing and I have no Start button – what do I do? – Ask Leo!
Thanks for the response Hans
From within control panel nothing happens when I click the icon for the taskbar, I have followed the advice from ‘Leo’ in your link but none of these help. I do remember sometime last year that a similar question was asked and somebody posted a link to a program that could recover the taskbar but searching in the lounge and on google has not yet produced any results.
I thought perhaps a system rollback might help but when I press F1 and type rollback into the search box it just seems to explain about removing new devices or software.
Thanks anyway
Steve
You may have inadvertently dragged your taskbar out of sight. First put your cursor at the absolute bottom of your screen and see if it changes to a double pointed line as if it has found something. If this occurs, then left click and hold the button down while you drag the taskbar back into view. Once you have it back and it is the width you want then right-click on the taskbar and select Lock Taskbar from the dropdown menu. HTH
Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm%5B/url%5D and download fix # 117. Merge it to the registry (despite it was created for Windows XP, it will work on Server 2003 also).
