    My work Win 2K laptop taskbar does not want to auto hide – even with only one programme running is stubbornly sits there covering the lower screen – where do I look to see why it is staying visible. Auto hide & always on top is checked

      Right Click on the taskbar, select Properties.

      The General tab is where you will find those options.
