I have about a dozen smallish (10-40 pages) procedures documents created in Word
I would like to have these have a Table of Contents and Index as stand alone documents but also have an overall Table of Contents and Index as part of the Master Document.

Is this possible, and if so , I’d appreciate any advice on how

I wouldn’t do this using Master documents. Just prepare all the individual files as you want them and then create an additional document which includes RD fields and the master TOC. You might need to look up the help file to find out about using RD fields but basically this is a way to refer to an external document that can then be included in the TOC and/or Index.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
